Welcome to First Grade!
I am Lisa Porter and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year!
I was born in Connecticut, but moved to Texas as a child and I grew up in Plano. I attended The University of Texas at Dallas where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Child Learning and Development. This is my 11th year teaching at Isbell Elementary!
My husband, Kevin and I have 4 boys (yes, I said 4)! :) Kevyn is 26 and just got his Master's Degree. Carson is 25 and is living and thriving in the Houston area. Braden is 21 and is attending Collin College. Jackson is 8, and is entering the 3rd grade at Isbell.
When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my family, attending sporting events (GO RED SOX), and reading.
I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where every child feels valued and inspired to do their best. We are going to have an amazing year!
