Welcome to 5th Grade!!

I'm thrilled to serve on the 5th grade team this school year! This will be my 21st year in public education. I have had the privilege of teaching 3rd, 4th and 5th grade all subjects, and serving as an administrator and 504 testing coordinator. I am a big Mean Green Fan, as a graduate of the University of North Texas with my Bachelors degree in Elementary education and my Master's degree in Educational Administration.

My husband Lance and I have 4 kiddos: Josh a graduate of the University of North Texas, Jake a graduate of Texas Tech, Kendall a graduate of Texas A & M and Logan a sophmore at the University of North Texas. We have two sweet pups, Lucy and Albert that enjoy long walks. I love reading, hiking, and spending time with family & friends.

Fifth grade is a pivotal and exciting year in your child's learning. The content becomes more complex, and of course we get to go to camp - Allaso Ranch! It is a year filled with new teachers, friends and experiences. I am excited to work with all of our students to spark their curiosity of the world around them in science and gain confidence as they explore concepts and work together collaboratively.
