Writing
Homework:
Please have your child write their spelling words in cursive three times each. If they bring this to school and show their writing teacher their work, they will receive a bonus in their planner.
If you would like extra editing practice. There are some editing paragraphs attached under the homework tab. Your child can complete one paragraph a week.
Overview: August/ September
We will begin setting up our writer's workshop. The most important factor that students will be applying is having the students write every single day for a sustained period of time. This will not only build their stamina but also give them time to build their craft. Once our workshop is established, we will begin writing personal narratives.

Below is a link that you might be interested in looking at. It gives an overall background of our districts handwriting without tears program. Also attached at the bottom of this page, you will find the cursive letters and how to create those letters.
