Mrs. Ross

Hi Boals family! My name is Chiquatia (Shaquanna) Ross and I'm proud to be starting another year here at Boals. I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and have been a Texan for the last 25 years. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism (2000) from Southern University and A & M College (in Baton Rouge) and my Masters in Education from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006. This will be my 18th year teaching here at Boals. I taught 3rd grade for 10 years and this will be my 8th year teaching 4th. Prior to 3rd grade, I taught Pre-K for seven years in Arlington.

I have been married for 18 years to the best husband in the world, Jerome! Together we have two daughters. Emori Londyn (14  years old, who is entering high school and homeschooled as a Level 9 competitive gymnast) and Aubree Elise (11 years old, who is a competitive dancer and will be a 6th grader at Trent Middle School). Over the summer, we added a new addition to our family, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, "Bubbles," who is 3 months old.

In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, relaxing through manis & pedis, massages, and getting my hair done. I also like to read, travel, and spend time with my family and friends. I am excited about the relationships I will establish this year and am looking forward to an amazing school year!
