Mrs. Backus

My name is Lauren Backus, and I am so thrilled to join the Corbell family!  I was born and raised right here in Frisco, Texas and even attended Frisco ISD all 13 years of public school! I graduated from Ouachita Baptist University where I swam competitively! This is my 3rd year of teaching 4th grade math and social studies in Frisco ISD. In my free time, I like to go to the gym, try new coffee shops, travel. read, go on walks with my husband and dogs, and hang out with my family or friends. 

I am so incredibly excited to be teaching at Corbell! I became a teacher because I love the intentional relationships you can build, the positive impact you can have on a life, and how you can make learning fun! Corbell was my home campus growing up, and I am so honored to be back as a teacher and join the phenomenal staff and student family to make this year the best one yet!
