Location: Ames City Auditorium, 520 6th St, Ames, IA 50010

The 2026 Summer Workshop will have an in-person learning and performance opportunity for young strings students who can read music - elementary and middle school students. 

The workshop provides 25+ hours of instruction over a two-week period of time for all students. 

Registration is limited and will be documented in the order received. Video submission or in-person opportunity to play for conductors may occur prior to the workshop. This is done to assist with music selection.

The Friends of Ames Strings is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded in part through donations and a grant from the City of Ames Commission on the Arts (COTA).
