What happens in each jam session? How are the jam sessions different from each other?
***Final Friday Uke Jams - This community ukulele jam is for players of all experience levels, but it begins with "Beginners and Brush Up" from 5-5:30, so newbies can start to learn. After that we add a new chord every couple of songs, so we're playing more advanced tunes by the end of the night. Our motto is "play what you like...drop the rest...someone else will pick it up." We also say, "play what feels good" and "don't worry about making a mistake, no one can hear you anyway!" A very supportive and fun-loving crowd.
**"Second Saturday Uke Jam" is a jam session in addition to our Community Ukulele Jams. It is intended for ukulele enthusiasts of all levels. Participants should be familiar with basic chords (C, F, Am, G, G7) and strumming. We welcome everyone, but this session does not include "Beginners and Brush Up."
***Sip and Strum Ukulele Jam - Ukulele jam is for players of all experience levels and begins with "Beginners and Brush Up" so newbies can start to learn. COVER CHARGE for these events. See more information above.
*“Uke-newbie Jam” is intended for beginners and those who would like to work on the basics. Participants will focus on some basic chords (C7, F, C, G7, G, Am) and strumming. This is typically a smaller group, so you can get some one-on-one attention. We welcome everyone, but this session moves a bit slower than our usual jam sessions. If you don’t have a uke, don’t worry…we’ve got extras!!!
