Job Summary

This position will focus on supporting teachers and students in math and science from a curriculum and instructional standpoint. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

●       Support Math & Science Curriculum K-5

●       Support Math & Science Instruction

●       Support teachers in co-teaching and modeling best instructional practices in Math & Science

●       Design lessons or activities incorporating student learning stations and hands-on activities in Math & Science

●       Perform other duties as assigned by district staff

Minimum Requirements

●       Bachelor’s Degree required

●       Math Specialist endorsement or Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction preferred (or in process)

●       At least three (3) years of successful, full-time experience as an elementary teacher

●       Have demonstrated the leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, and administration.

Terms of Employment

This position is a 10 month (200 day) position supported through TItle 1 funding.  The position could be renewed annually if Title 1 funding allows.  Salary to be established by the school board.

Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with School Board’s policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of classified personnel.
