HOMEWORK:
Homework practice pages based on our work across the curriculum will be sent home throughout the year. Please establish a reading routine with your child at home. This is an opportunity to read books to your child above their own reading abilities and expose them to new vocabulary and story elements.
This year, we will be using a new language arts/writing curriculum. We will focus on many prerequisite skills to help your students grow into proficient readers and writers.
I will be emailing letters home as we move into each unit of study. Below, please find the "I Can Statements" for our new CKLA program. These are our goals for each unit.
CKLA Kindergarten Knowledge - I Can Statements
Domain 1- Star Light, Star Bright: Nursery Rhymes and Fables
