Dr. Pryor has been teaching for thirty years. Her original class business, Beads 'n Me, was featured on the Emmy award-winning show Classroom Close-up. Beads 'n Me has won a Character Education Partnership Promising Practice Award. Additional awards have been: the 24th Annual School Leader Award for improving learning through unique educational efforts and the NJSBA Innovations Award for creative special education programming. The class was featured on NJN news and in several publications such as School Leader Magazine, The Bergen Record, Suburban News, and Villadom Times. In addition, Beads 'n Me won ABC-7's Above & Beyond: Inspiring Students and Teachers Award. The class was spotlighted on a half-hour television show and in a series of commercials on ABC.
In 2000, Dr. Pryor received the Governor's Teacher Recognition Award. Dr. Pryor has served as an adjunct professor at Fordham University and taught online courses in Inclusion and Autism to teachers in Tobago and New York State through Columbia University. She has been an online instructor to students and teachers worldwide on UniversalClass.com.
Dr. Pryor received her Doctoral Degree in Administration in Special Education from Columbia University, where she served as a research fellow. She earned her Masters in Education (Ed.M) in Supervision from Columbia University and a Masters Degree in Instructional Technology from New York Institute of Technology and had received the Dean's Award. Dr. Pryor earned a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education from Temple University.
