A Friendly Reminder!
Working with a partner is an opportunity to be an engaged collaborator, and we all need to uphold our schoolwide norms during the project. All students working with peers on their podcast must commit to demonstrating:
Responsibility: I will be fully present and come to class prepared with my parts of the assignment. I will ensure that my partner and I divide the work fairly and each contribute our best to the final product and all steps along the way.
Integrity: I will do the right thing in all spaces: with my teacher in the classroom and if my group is working outside of the classroom or independently after school. I will respect my partner, and I know that working in a group will require compromise and collaboration.
Service: I will work hard to do my best on our shared podcast. I will assist my partner if they are struggling.
Empowerment: I will show my partner and their ideas respect. I will work to create a group environment where everyone feels empowered to share their ideas, and I will be brave and share my thoughts and feelings with them as well for the betterment of the podcast.
I have what it takes to be successful in a group for the 2024 IAR Podcast Challenge. I understand that if my partner and I cannot uphold the norms, it could result in:
Lunch meetings to collaborate with my partner in a supervised, one-on-one with Ms. Munafo
Phone calls/ meetings with our Team Leader and/or adults
Being removed from a group/ partnerships getting dissolved, with each member being required to work independently on their own podcast.
