What is the Gateway Readers Award? This is a Missouri book award that is created with the help of high school students and voted on by high school students. The books are all by American authors that are either written for young adult or are adult books that interest young adults. This is a great opportunity for students to have a voice in what is considered "good" literature.
How do I participate? All you have to do is read 2 of the 15 nominated books and answer one question about the plot of each book by early March. As you do this you will fill out a form that we will keep in the media center. All those who successfully accomplish this will join us in the Media Center for a pizza/voting party in March. If you successfully read all 15 books, you will receive an award plus be entered to win a $50 gift card.
