Who can be a member of NHS?
NHS is open to 10th, 11th, and 12th graders that meet qualifications and have been invited to submit an application based on their GPA.
I was in NJHS. Am I automatically in NHS?Â
No, 9th graders are not eligible to be in NHS. They must reapply if applicable during their sophomore year. Invitations to apply are based on academic achievement. Invitations are emailed after the second semester grades are finalized. This usually happens at the end of January/early February.
How do I get invited to join NHS?
Students must have a 5.00 cumulative GPA in order to be invited. Invitations to apply will go out after the 1st semester with an induction date in mid to late April.
