Big Data @ ESPOL

The Big Data Research Group at ESPOL is interested in education and research in the Big Data domain. Our work focuses in the diverse challenges of the Big Data problems that arise in Internet Services, Social Networking, Urban Computing, Telecommunications and Retail. We are interested in studying how to tackle Big Data problems, including dealing with the challenges that arise in modeling, benchmarking, analyzing and building these systems. Our work combines our aggregate expertise in social network analysis, distributed systems, semantic analysis, stochastic modeling, data management, data processing, pattern matching, open information extraction, and systems and networking.
