PHOTO REQUIREMENTS
The yearbook requires vertical color photos for senior portraits.
The FHC Ranger's yearbook is printed in full color. We prefer color photos to black and white. Please consider submitting a color photo of your student.
Extreme facial close-ups do not print very well. Standing full-body shots also do not work well because the student’s face is rather small, and sometimes it is necessary to crop off the feet. We will print these if you insist; however, we cannot be responsible for the quality.
Most photographers send wallet-size images that are 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
The yearbook staff is capable of resizing larger photos.
The exact size of photos placed in the book will be 11.1 x 13.7 picas; therefore, wallet-size photos will be cropped – especially the height.
DIGITAL FORMATS
We can print JPEG color images with a minimum resolution of 230 dpi (or around 1000x1000+ pixels). This is the resolution of the final graphic after it has been sized and placed on a yearbook page. Resolution and size can get a little tricky. If you are an amateur, please do not crop the photo. Let the yearbook staff do this. Inexperienced computer users tend to crop the size and the resolution making the photo unusable.
SUBMITTING YOUR PHOTOS
Images should be sent to FHCYearbook@fhps.net as an email attachment (The Subject should be the student's first and last name.). A confirmation response will be sent to the person sending the emailed photo. If a confirmation e-mail is not received, please check your "Junk" folder before contacting us. Please be sure that we have access to the photo (check your "share" settings.)
