Ed Techs - Certificates Generally Expire on Feb 1 (your date may be different)
1. Check to be sure you have documented 45 hours of professional learning with the LCC. If you aren't sure how many hours you have on file, email Shawn Towle.
2. Your renewal recommendation will be made by the LCC Chair electronically when you have reached 45 or more hours.
3. After you are notified by the LCC Chair that your online application has been signed, go online and log in to your account (or set one up if it is your first time in the system), and renew your certificate and pay any necessary renewal fees.

4. You may begin earning credit toward your next cycle beginning with the effective date of your certificate. (generally February 1)
*A professional certificate is a higher level than an ed tech authorization.

Professional Staff - Certificates Generally Expire on July 1 (Note: if you attained your certification recently, your date may be different)
1. Check to be sure you have documented 90 hours (or 6 credits) of professional learning with the LCC. If you aren't sure how many hours you have on file, email Shawn Towle. If you have 90 hours documented, you may proceed.
2. After you have been notified that your online application has been signed by the LCC Chair, go online and log in to your account (or set one up if it is your first time in the system), and renew your certificate online.

3. The contents of your physical LCC file will be returned to you. You keep your file for your own reference, it is your property under our plan. You do NOT send any of it to Augusta.
4. Submit a new Professional Renewal Plan (purple form) to the LCC
5. You may begin accumulating new PD credit as of the renewal date of your certificate.
