Summer Retreat Application Policy and Procedures

Day Only Registration

The priority deadline for Day Registration is June 15, 2023.  Applications received after June 15, 2023 may not receive a t-shirt or all requested accommodations. All requests for accommodations should be submitted via your application by June 15, 2023.  


Overnight Registration

The priority deadline for Overnight Registration is June 1, 2023.  Applications received after June 1, 2023 may not receive a t-shirt or all requested accommodations. All requests for accommodations should be submitted via your application by June 1, 2023.  


Commitment Fee

There is a commitment fee of $100 for all registrations.  This is a NONREFUNDABLE fee.  It includes 7 nights of housing, 21 meals, and a t-shirt.  Financial aid is available upon request.  


The EYE Retreat is open to any person with a visual impairment or coexisting disability on a space-available basis. The EYE Retreat does not discriminate on the basis of intellectual or athletic ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, disability, proficiency in English, or any other basis prohibited by law.  However, the President/Director or designated committee reserves the right to deny any application at their sole discretion  


Once all available slots are filled, applicants will be placed on a wait list. Students will be admitted from the wait list as places become available in the order that the applications were received. Participants may reapply to attend the EYE Retreat more than once, but those applications are accepted at the sole discretion of the President/Director or designated committee in accordance with program availability.

Mini Retreat


The 2023 EYE Retreat Reunion will be held Saturday, August 5 in Carolina Beach, NC.  Registration is required.  Housing is available Friday ans Saturday nights (August 4 and 5).  Transportation is available from Raleigh to Carolina Beach.  Registration ends on May 15, 2023.

Fees

Fees for Mini Retreats vary depending upon the programming and will be communicated to prospective participants via the online application prior to registration.
