How will Summer Learning help your child?
Metcalf Elementary School wants to keep students engaged in learning during summer vacation. We are partnering with Louttit Library (WG) and Exeter Library Summer Programs and compiled resources to help students continue learning and avoid the Summer Slide.
This video uses the example of upper and lower income children, but the summer slide can happen with any child who is NOT engaged in learning during the two month break.
Experiences that get your child talking, reading, thinking, and reasoning are perfect summer learning opportunities. Check out the many different ideas we have on the Resources and Links page above.
