Mrs. Thomas

Hello! My name is Mrs. Thomas and I am going to be your Fourth Grade Teacher. I am so excited to work with you. It’s going to be a year full of fun and learning, and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us! I thought you might like to know a little bit about me.

I grew up in Ashland, KS. I obtained my Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University, my Masters Degree in K-9 Education from DePaul University, and my Educational Specialist Degree in K-12 Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University. 

My husband’s name is Brad, and he works at Charles Schwab. We have two daughters, Brecken (Freshman at ESHS) and Grey (8th Grader at EMRS). We also have two dogs, Fawn (8 year old cavapoo) and Fiona (8 year old cockapoo). Finally, we have two cats, Herbie and Willie (3 year old bengal brothers).  We live in Elkhorn, and I love teaching in the community we call home!

This will be my 11th year teaching at Hillrise Elementary, and my 19th year of teaching overall. My goal is to generate a desire for lifelong learning in all my students.
