The East Providence Public Library is excited to announce that we now offer free academic resources and tutoring from Tutor.com! Can you help us spread the word? All students in grades K-12 with a library card can use the service to get help with homework, class projects, papers and test preparation. We would like to help your students be better prepared for class each day by providing one-to-one assistance right when they need it most, at homework time. Tutor.com helps you help your students by:
Extending the Learning Day - When students are struggling with homework after-school and on the weekends, tutors are available to help, 2:00-10:00 seven days a week.
Engaging the Student One-to-One - Tutor.com is a company committed to education. They will not provide homework answers to your students, but instead engage the student in learning.
Impacting Student Achievement – 95% of students who use Tutor.com say it helps them complete their homework and improve their grades.
Building Confident Learners – students also report that Tutor.com helps them feel more confident with their school work. In fact, 86% of students are more likely to take an AP course if they have Tutor.com.
Tutoring is available in all core K-12 subjects – math, science, English, social studies and writing, including AP level assistance. Tutor.com tutors can also help with GED or college prep and job search. Students can access tutor.com from any computer or mobile device with an internet connection through www.eastprovidencelibrary.org.
