     Hello! My name is Jen Zuercher, and I am in my 20th year of teaching at Glendale. My first two years of teaching were in this classroom. I then switched to the collaborative special education position for one year. I decided the self-contained classroom was the best fit for me, so I switched back. 

     Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. When I was 14, my older sister asked me to volunteer at a summer camp for young adults with disabilities. Over the next 15+ years, the experiences of working at camp, and the friendships that were made with the campers, led me to focus on special education. I completed my undergraduate education at Bradley University with certifications in special education and elementary education. I completed my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction through ISU. I live in Hopedale with my husband, Aaron, and our flock of chickens! I am looking forward to another great year at Glendale!
