As a life-long member of the East Peoria community, I graduated from EPCHS in 2002. Afterwards, I attended college at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, where I obtained my B.S. in Biology-Secondary Education. While there, I spent time working as a pharmacy technician at Kroger Pharmacy, research laboratory assistant, state park naturalist at Wildlife Prairie State Park, and zoo educator at the Peoria Zoo. In 2015, I attended Aurora University where I obtained Master's of Arts degree in Educational Leadership/School Administration. At EPCHS, I have worked as a faculty member of the Freshman Academy for 9 years, teaching Freshman biology at the academic and enriched level. In the past, I have also served as the Key Club Adviser, Assistant Speech Coach, Pep Club Adviser and the Student Council Adviser. Currently I teach Anatomy and Physiology, Zoology and Botany, and Regular Biology.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my wife, Danielle, and our two daughters, Kyndel and Ellison. I also enjoy spending time outdoors camping, gardening, and working in my yard. I am also a volunteer for the Marquette Heights Fire Department, serving as a firefighter and a licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
