Asbestos Testing:
ERA consists of staff certified by the State of Hawai'i to: Conduct Asbestos Inspections, Produce Remedial Plans, and Conduct Remedial Oversight under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA).
ERA provides initial advice regarding potential asbestos problems, carrying out thorough inspections, working together with remedial contractors to correct any problems, then providing a thorough report for documentation process.
State of Hawai'i Certifications:
Asbestos Inspector
Asbestos Management Planner
Asbestos Project Designer
Asbestos Project Monitor
Lead Paint Testing:
ERA conducts: Lead Surveys, Lead Risk Assessments, Specification Documents, and Remedial Oversight.
ERA utilizes various methods for lead determination, including: Paint Chip Sampling and XRF. ERA also conducts: Lead Paint, Dust, Soil and Water Sampling.
*ERA employs two staff members certified by the State of Hawai'i for lead activities.

Indoor Air Quality:
IAQ evaluation usually begins with questionnaires and interviews with effected personnel. ERA may perform direct-reading measurements of indoor air containments, including: Particulates, Carbon Dioxide, Temperature and Relative Humidity (RH).
ERA also inspects the building's ventilation system design and operating procedures,in addition to reviewing the system's preventative maintenance program.
ERA inspects the condition of system components for microbial reservoirs and amplifiers as well as sources of odors, chemical contaminants and combustion products.
When an IAQ evaluation reveals active or potential contaminant sources, ERA may be retained to conduct subsequent air sampling and analysis to document the extent of contamination.
IAQ sampling evaluations are also a way to determine whether certain baseline guidelines are being met.
ERA has performed customized IAQ sampling evaluations for a variety of air contaminants, including: Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) emitted from construction materials, Office Furnishings, and Printing Operations, as well as Combustion Processes and Pesticides.
