Coach Davenport Bio
Joel Davenport holds a B.S. in Education from Texas Christian University and M.S. and Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University. I teach AP U.S. Government, Government, and have the privilege to coach golf....thank you Bill Cox! If you don't play golf, you should. It encompasses everything that ultimately defines you: honesty, integrity, humility, respect, punctuality, focus, persistence, problem solving, and graciousness.....my question to you is why are you not playing? Ok, so it's true I am passionate about golf. I work with the Texas Golf Association, the United States Golf Association and I'm on the Board of Directors for the Southern Golf Association. One other thing, I am a diehard University of Texas football fan! Our two daughters Mary and Jennifer are our blessing! Jennifer is now Mrs Jimmy Morrison and they have given us a blessing with our first grandchild! Harper Lee Gail Morrison hit the ground on June 29, 2022. After little deliberation about what our grandkids will call us...we selected Coach & Boots! I fully intend on not spoiling Harper...just giving her all she needs before she asks!!! The latest installment of grandkids is James Jacob Joel Morrison.....I don't care what his parents call him....I'm calling him Tripp!!!! God is GOOD!
