Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Successful first, second and third meeting with sponsors

  • Finalized a list of tasks to start with while waiting for arrival of the machine

  • Set up Slack messaging channel between Precious Plastics, Impact Mill,

• • Grounding within the problem space

    • Watch videos and read articles on how the machines are being used

    • Join the open source forums to learn more from others in the space about the machines

  • Component research: identify parameters for improvement / potential solutions

• • The primary things to focus on right now are improvements to the nozzle, the pulldown lever used to inject material, the mold clamping system (which doesn't exist right now), and the PID system

  • We're still waiting on the machine, but it should be expedited soon

  • Ryan (sponsor from BTH) is working on new ways of designing molds

  • Besides CNC molds, we're looking into 3D printed ones with ABS
