Nerve Gripping

1. OVERVIEW AND PROJECT STATUS
  1. Performed Compression Testing on Actual Nerve and Substitute
    1. Fit curves to both sets of data
  2. Made Improvements to Prototypes

- 1. Compression Testing Results
    1. Exponential relationship between cross sectional strain and compressive force
    2. Phantom nerve does not mirror exact compressive material properties as actual nerve
    3. Established limit of cross sectional strain to be 20%

    2. Interface with backbone
