Here's what your fellow students have said about the STEM Study Room:
Being in the STEM study room, getting help and overhearing other people working through their challenges in upper level math and science courses really makes me feel like a STEM major, and a part of the community. It’s easier to study there than at home, with far more resources.
I think with STEM it’s easy to get discouraged when you run into difficult problems. The STEM room has helped carry me through sections I have found difficult both from the help of a tutor and just being around others plowing through challenging material.
Having a specific place full of people who are also studying science and mathematics creates an atmosphere which makes me excited to study.
The stem room is a place for me and many others to grow academically.
STEM room helped me to feel like I'm not the only one having to work hard to make it work in STEM. I know there is a community who are all trying their best to do what we can to learn and grow.
A place to study and feel welcomed by tutors and advisors.
STEM Study room is a great place to get help and connect with instructors to receive a more meaningful way of instructional learning at the college.
The STEM Study Room is a great resource for RiSE Students. Additionally, students can get free, drop-in tutoring at the Learning Support Center in MUK 113. MESA, TRiO, and SSD also offer personal tutoring for eligible students.
