About Ellis River Riders
Ellis River Riders, Inc. (The Club) and its members are committed to enriching lives through horses in a fun, family atmosphere. The Club offers a variety of activities and a graduated series of divisions for riders of different levels of ability. The purposes of the Club include the following:
To increase recognition of the versatility of the horse
To promote all horse breeds and other equestrian activities
To promote good fellowship and sportsmanship among horse owners and friends
To encourage and educate exhibitors, participants, members, sponsors, spectators and management, while acting in the interest of common good for all
To affiliate with other organizations in striving for good horsemanship, whose purposes are altogether or in part similar to those of this club
Ellis River Riders show grounds is home for Gymkhana, Versatility and Open Shows as well as instructional clinics and trail rides. Visit our EVENT SCHEDULE page for more information. Our grounds consist of the riding ring, practice ring, food booth and pavilion, a 20-stall barn, which is available free of charge on a first come basis. We have water for the horses. We also have overnight stays for shows and seasonal stays for members. There are tons of trails from the grounds and we have several organized trail rides scheduled this summer. If you are a member, you are allowed to use the grounds at any time unless there is a show.

Admission
All regular events such as Open and Gymkhana Shows are always FREE. The public is welcome
Parking
Plenty of free parking for spectators is available in the field at the head of the show ring. Horse trailer parking for participants is available on the opposite end of the grounds
Seating
Bleachers, benches, picnic tables and grass areas for lawn chairs are available for a good view of the show ring
Children's Play Area
A small designated playground is on site for the kids who want a break from the horse show
Bathroom Facilities
There are four outhouses equipped with toilet paper and hand sanitizer - two on each end of the show grounds
Food Booth
Annette Cochran will be running the Gone Loco Cafe serving from Momma Cayer's Kitchen during our events this year. The menu will include many homemade, healthy items made with farm fresh, local ingredients! Menu options will vary with assorted Breakfast Items, Lunch Entrees, Sweets, Snacks, Hot Beverages & Cold Drinks to choose from.
Picnic Area
Adequate picnic table seating is available under the pavilion next to the food booth to eat and take a break from the sun
Show Ring
A large dirt show ring is the center of attention on the show grounds where all the action is. Spectators have plenty of "up-close" spots to see everything!
