Here are some testimonies from our students!

......I have truly been blessed, over the years, by the many amazing and talented individuals I have encountered. Sensei Coles ( Kenneth Joel Coles).......for ...almost two years, he has been my Ju-Jitsu mentor.

This fine gentleman is a military veteran and Patriot. For over fifty years, he has been perfecting his craft and talents in the Martial Arts world. He is internationally recognized in many forms of martial arts, is an 8th Dan Black Belt in Tae-Kwon-Do; and 5th Dan Black Belt in Ju-Jitsu. One of only a handful in the U.S., he holds the title of "Master" in TKD.

In addition to the above, Master Coles is experienced in fencing as well as knife and axe throwing.

Sensei Coles' right brain expertise is seen in his sculpting and oil painting pieces of art. Did I mention that he is a tournament chess player as well??

Master Coles has honored me with one-on-one training and has been very patient. Slowly, but surely, I have advanced along the colored belt rank structure........if the Lord sees to it, by this summer, I may be ready to test for Black Belt in Ju-Jitsu.

Coles’ Martial Arts has taught me so much in the past year. When I started competing, I only knew how to do Olympic Sparing. Now, I am Point Sparring at every tournament; I never knew that I would learn it so easily. They are great instructors; they expect students to have respect, and discipline. I have learned more self defense than I have ever thought possible! When we are doing form, together or by myself, they told me to think of what I may be doing to an attacker; therefore making each move meaningful. Coles’ makes going to class fun because I’m always learning and trying new techniques. Being in Tae-Kwon-Do has raised my self-esteem and confidence. I highly recommend Coles’ Martial Arts if you are serious about learning Tae-Kwon-Do.

I started going to JuJitsu classes 7 years ago. My aunt and uncle both hold black belts through Coles. It was because of his reputation that I started attending his classes. Sensei Coles has been inducted into the martial arts hall of fame for his work in training law enforcement.

When I first started I did not know how to defend myself if I were ever attacked on the street. I don't feel that way any more. I'm confident and no longer feel vulnerable to an attack. He teaches old school JuJitsu not so much "sport". Although he does also hold a 3rd degree black belt in Judo, (Judo is a sport) and we have students who attend Judo competitions and do very well in those.

Kids learn how to effectively get away from their attacker- not by punches and kicks that would not hurt an adult abductor, but rather using the principles of physics. All four of my children have received instructions from Sensei Coles and know how to get away from someone.

He has a low injury level and limits what can be done in classes so that there are not a lot of injuries, especially serious injuries. Martial arts should be a way of life that you can enjoy into your later years of life.

There are no contracts, but rather you pay monthly as you attend classes. I know quite a few people who are stuck in contracts with other Karate schools. They no longer like the school but they have a contract and have to keep paying. This is not the case with Coles. If you need to miss a few months or so, that's OK, you don't have to pay for those months. You can start back up when you are able to again. You also are not charge for every belt test you take like many other schools. Fees start at the brown belt level, not at the white belt level.

I would encourage adults to take classes to be able to defend their families. We have quite a few gals in JuJitsu class. So this isn't just a "guys" class.

In my seven years I have watched a lot of new students come in and watched them improve in self defense, weapon defense, and execute beautiful throws and ground techniques.

Class size is limited so to keep injuries down and for more personal attention. Senesi Coles cares about his students. He is selective on who he teaches. High moral character is important and expects that none of his students would do anything to degrade the code of ethics or the reputation of the school.

This is a school that cares about its students, it is not about franchises and making a ton of money (seen usually

through contracts) but rather passing on an ancient art that the Japanese were so gracious to pass on to us. I would love to see you in class if you are a person of good moral character and watch and help you progress in the ancient art of JuJitsu. I am currently a 2nd degree black belt in JuJitsu and am currently working on my 3rd degree black belt. Three of my four kids hold 1st degree brown belts and their next belts will be 1st black belts. My husband also holds brown belts in both JuJitsu and TaeKwon Do. It is a family affair, all starting with my aunt and uncle and their two kids years ago. Check Coles out if you are interested in martial arts at all. You won't regret it. With all sincerity, Mrs. Sam

I started Tae Kwon do some elsewhere for about 1 month . I was not getting the training I was looking for. I looked into the Coles school. I have not looked back. The price is great ,Most of all the teaching is priceless. I have a friend that is so into martial arts, his training is not near what ours is. He goes through his forms but does not understand how the moves in the form are used in defense situations. Grand master and Master Coles explains what the different kicks, punches and grabs are used for . I thinks this is a great thing to know. I should have stared earlier in life.

I have taken Tae Kwon Do at several different schools throughout my life and this one is by far the best school. Grand Master Coles and Master Coles not only teach you how to effectively defend yourself, but they teach the purpose behind every move. If you wish to improve yourself and be taught in a Martial Arts School, as opposed to a business, then this is the place for you.

Whether you are just starting or you have been practicing for years, they have the knowledge to help and improve you.
