Mrs. Alexandra (Alex) Williams

Alexandra (Alex) teaches at Fraser Valley Elementary (FVE)  in East Grand County and District 8. Alex serves as the Music teacher and conductor of the Fraser Valley Choir, an after school singing and Orff activity consisting of around 65 students in the 3rd through 5th Grades.  Alex is an Alumni member of Kappa Kappa Psi, and a current and active member of the American Orff Schulwerk Association (AOSA), Feierabend Association of Music Education (FAME), Technology in Music Education (TIME), NAfME (National Association for Music Educators), and Colorado Music Educators Association (CMEA).  She holds an Orff Level I and a FAME First Steps in Music Certification.

Born and raised in Roswell, Georgia, Alex went to Georgia State University for her undergraduate degree where she studied Trombone and Music Education.  She then pursued her Masters in Outdoor Education at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland where she worked with children of all ages.  Alex taught high school band, music technology, and guitar before moving to the elementary level. Alex lives with her husband and two dogs. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, baking, napping, reading, and writing.
