A works cited page(s) is simply a list found at the end of your research paper which provides the source information for every document that you actually cited in your research paper. A very simple way of creating a works cited page is simply to alphabetize your source cards and type them up! Here are some rules to follow for a proper works cited page:
When creating your works cited page, remember:
1. Begin the Works Cited on a new page of your research paper, but number consecutively (i.e., if the last page of your essay is page 3, the Works Cited is page 4)
2. Your Works Cited should be titled: Works Cited
This title should be centered in the same font type and size as the rest of the paper. It should not be underlined, bolded or in quotes. The title should be one inch from the top of the page.
3. Begin the first entry one double space below the title
4. Alphabetize each entry by first letter. If a title begins with A, An, or The, alphabetize the next word. If a title begins with a numeral, alphabetize the title as if the numeral were spelled out.
5. Indent (one tab space) the 2nd line, the 3rd line, and all subsequent lines of each citation
6. Double-space all entries.
7. Be sure that every parenthetical citation included in your text has a corresponding Works Cited entry.
8. Continue entries on additional pages as necessary, omitting the “Works Cited” title on further pages.
9. If you cite two or more sources by the same author, adhere to these rules:

How to Create a Hanging Indent in Google Docs:
Visible Ruler
First, make sure the Google Docs ruler is visible.
On the ruler, there is a light blue rectangle (▃) at the left margin, which represents the location of the First Line Indent. Beneath the light blue rectangle is a light blue inverted triangle (▼), which represents the location of the Left Indent.
