Before you choose to take a risk and give someone or something else control, you should ask yourself two questions:
1. Is getting what I want or where I’m going so important that I am willing to risk my life … or other people’s lives? The doctors weren’t talking on cellular phones or reading the newspaper while they operated. They were paying full attention to what they were doing! Are you aware that driving, like surgery, is a full-time job that requires all of your attention and uses all of your senses? Just like you want the doctors to pay attention, you should pay attention too.
In both cases, there is a life at stake—your own!
