RULES OF CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR
The rules include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
1. Respect Yourself and Others.
2. Respect The Equipment The School Provides.
3. Language Must Be Appropriate At All Times.
4. If You Don’t Understand, Raise Your Hand.
5. Perform All Assigned Tasks Appropriately.
6. All Communication In Class Must Pertain To Learning
(When Appropriate)
7. Maintain Yourself With Dignity And Self-respect.
Communication Procedures for Notification of Failing Students
(To be implemented on a case by case basis as determined by the classroom instructor.)
In order to keep students and parents aware of a pending failure or dramatic grade changes the following steps may be taken:
1. Inform students and parents of the parental grade book viewer.

2. Advise students that they bear the responsibility for keeping parents
informed about below average grades or dramatic grade changes.

3. Input student grades in a web accessible format on a regular basis in order to
provide a weekly updated source of grade information for both students and
parents.
(Usually within 24 – 48 hours for homework assignments and quizzes)
4. Schedule and maintain regular office hours, voicemail, and email to be
available to discuss grade related issues with students and parents.
(Conference period or from 3:00 to 3:15 after school each day or by appointment.)

5. Remain available at regularly scheduled parent teacher conferences to meet with impacted parents.
6. Periodically discuss routinely low grades with impacted students.
