Balkhi Foundation Higher Education Scholarship (Deadline: April 15, 2024)
The Balkhi Foundation Higher Education Scholarship seeks to help talented young people make college more attainable through a $1000 scholarship. These ten annual renewable awards are granted to exceptional high school seniors accepted to a US-based college or university who demonstrate a financial need.
An ideal applicant for a Balkhi Foundation Scholarship is a student who has shown dedication to their academics as well as their personal goals whether that is through community service, creation of a business or invention, or significant dedication to academic pursuits. Students should be self-starters who have shown tenacity in the face of challenges and a hunger for success. Previous Balkhi Foundation Scholars have represented a diverse variety of backgrounds and high school experiences including community service, writing, and publishing novels, completing university-level research or associate degrees in high school, or being identified as leaders within their school and community.
Current high school seniors with a 3.5 weighted or unweighted GPA with financial need are encouraged to apply. Important dates are below.

Escambia River Electric Cooperative (EREC) will award scholarships to graduating seniors in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties whose parent or guardian is a member of the cooperative.
NEW: TRADE VOTECH SCHOLARSHIP
Two $1,000 scholarships – Students must show proof of enrollment and maintain a grade-point average of 2.0.

The Northwest Florida Gator Club is offering $500 scholarships to high school seniors who have been accepted and enrolled at the University of Florida for the 2024-2025 school year.
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Scholarship (Deadline: May 1, 2024)
The fundamental purpose of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is “Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor.” The Pensacola Alumni Charity Foundation (PACF) seeks to assist minority males graduating from high school in Escambia or Santa Rosa Counties to pursue baccalaureate degrees at accredited post-secondary institutions.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Available to minority male high school students graduating from a public or private
secondary school in Escambia or Santa Rosa counties in Florida by May 31, 2024.

Gwen Appelquist Difference Maker Scholarship (Deadline: April 15, 2024)
The Gwen Appelquist Difference Maker Award is a $1000 award given to students at each high school in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. These students must either submit the application below to Ms. Theresa Waggoner <theresa@studercdg.com> or mail a hard copy to the address on the application. GPAs or scholastic records are not required. This award is for Community Service only. It can be performed through churches, local organizations, or personal projects. Several schools did not have any applications submitted last year, which means several students lost out on an award of $1000. Students need not be going to college.

Give Kids A Chance Scholarship (Deadline: April 30, 2024)
Give Kids A Chance is offering scholarship grants in the amount of $1,250 to high school seniors planning to attend college. To be eligible for a scholarship, you must have the following criteria:
• Be a graduating senior from a public high school.
• Be a Florida resident.
• Have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.
• Must document financial need. Eligible students must have a family income that is less than 60% of the median family income of the area in which they reside.
• Demonstrate an interest in pursuing higher education.
• Show involvement in school or community activities.
• Two (2) letters of recommendation from teachers or other community representatives.

Embrace Florida Kids Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
Student must have lived in a foster home or alternative living arrangement (other relative, family friend, church member, teacher, adoptive family, etc.)
Attending or planning to attend college at Pensacola State College or the University of West Florida

FSCA Scholarship (Event on March 19, 2024)
The English and Communications Department at Pensacola State College will sponsor its annual Academic Excellence Scholarship Competition on Tuesday, March 19, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. At this event, high school seniors who are interested in attending Pensacola State College will compete in a Literary Quiz Bowl for a two-year scholarship ($3,600 total) to pursue any course of study at PSC. This is a Jeopardy-like event with the questions focused exclusively on literature. The qualifying student who scores the most points in the final round will be nominated for the Academic Excellence Scholarship.
Those who plan to attend must RSVP to Mr. Atallah by March 14.
FSCA Scholarship (Deadline: April 26, 2024)
FSCA will award four high school scholarships in the amount of $250 each; one of the four scholarships ($250) will be awarded to a son or daughter of a FSCA member (membership of 6 months or longer). Three graduate student scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $500 each. All application materials must be received by 5 PM on Friday, April 14, 2023. UWF: Pensacola Pledge Scholarship (Deadline: April 5, 2024)
For students attending UWF:
The scholarship is valued at up to $8,000 over a four-year period (up to $2,000 per year). It is renewable as long as eligibility requirements are met for up to eight undergraduate semesters (four years).

Incoming freshmen who meet these qualifications will be considered for a Pensacola Pledge Scholarship:
A First Time in College (FTIC) student.
Attend and graduate from a high school or home school program in Escambia or Santa Rosa County in Florida.
Offered admission to UWF by April 1.
Submitted a completed Pensacola Pledge Scholarship Application by April 1.
A completed application includes a Pensacola Pledge Scholars application, two letters of recommendation, and a 500-word essay on "what being a citizen of Northwest Florida means to me."

1. The student must be a senior.

3. Must have participated in Cross Country and/or Track while attending Northview.
4. The award will be presented to an eligible female athlete. The award will be presented to an eligible male athlete if there is no eligible female athlete.
5. Information must be submitted on nomination and resume forms.
6. Applicants must submit a typed essay on their cross country or track experiences, how the experience affected their life, and their plans for the future.
Pensacola Post of the Society of American Military Engineers Scholarship (Deadline: April 12, 2024)
AHEPA-Pensacola Charitable Foundation Scholarship (Deadline: April 13, 2024)
The AHEPA-Pensacola Charitable Foundation, Inc. announces the availability of scholarships from the AHEPA-Pensacola Charitable Foundation Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are available to persons entering or already attending a college or university during the calendar year 2024. This year scholarships applicable to studies in all fields ($20200 total) will be awarded to help with book and lab fee expenses.
Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, extracurricular participation, part-time/community work, essay preparation, and financial need.

Escambia River Electric Cooperative (EREC) will award scholarships to graduating seniors in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties whose parent or guardian is a member of the cooperative. Two $4,000 scholarships – awarded in honor of former EREC director Herman D. Johnson – will be offered. Students must show proof of enrollment and maintain a grade-point average of 2.5 to continue to receive the funds each year.

Gulf Winds believes in the value of a good education. To support our members and the excellent students in our community, we will award five academic scholarships this spring.

DESCRIPTION
As one of the nation's largest need-based college scholarship programs in the country, the Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. While many programs are directed primarily to recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, the Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need.

We are so excited to announce that our three-day conference will be February 2nd-4th 2024! We are reaching out to invite your students in grades 9-12 to apply for our annual Young Leaders Conference.
The Young Leaders Conference is a UF student-led event that guides students through a variety of workshops intended to enhance their leadership skills, while interacting with and experiencing the UF campus. Due to the large volume of registrants in the past few years we are transitioning to an application process. The Young Leaders Conference exists to educate and expand the minds of the leaders of tomorrow. In an effort to bring students who are truly passionate about developing their own leadership skills for the betterment of the world around them we are implementing an application.

Eligibility:
All Graduating High School Seniors in the State of Florida who will be attending a STATE OF FLORIDA SUPPORTED INSTITUTION (college, university, community college, technical college, or other such institution of higher education governed by the Florida State Board of Regents or the Florida Department of Education) during the following term (semester or quarter). The applicant must enter the school within one semester/quarter (excluding summer sessions) after having been awarded the scholarship.
Requirement:
An essay of no less than 1,000 words or more than 1,250 words on the topic “Why Education is Important” and a completed Scholarship Application form. All work must be original and the essay becomes the property of The Grand Lodge of Florida

The Heisman High School Scholarship is proud to continue its 29-year tradition of honoring the nation’s most esteemed high school seniors and supporting high school academic and athletic programs across the country. The program recognizes and rewards male and female high school seniors who accomplish tremendous feats in the classroom, on the field, and most importantly, within their communities.
Winners from every school and scholarships from $1,000 to $10,000.

12 National Finalists receive a $2,000 scholarship
2 National Winners receive a $10,000 scholarship
Winning a Heisman High School Scholarship requires a weighted GPA of 3.0 or better, participation in at least one sport, and demonstrated leadership at school and in the community. You have students who have worked hard for years to make the grade. Here's how you can help them get the recognition they deserve:

You are Eligible if:
You are currently residing in the United States. Note: undocumented applicants are eligible.
You were born on or after November 24, 2003
You will begin college (four year, community college, or trade school) for the First Time in 2024 (not including dual-enrollment courses)
You experienced homelessness in the last six years
