RACES Method

Students are expected to answer Open-Ended Questions following the RACES Method. 

R- Restate the question and give a preview of their answer. 

A- Answer the question in your own words. 

C- Cite evidence from the text to support your answer.

E- Explain how the evidence you selected supports your answer.

S- Sum it all up with an strong ending sentence.
