LET 1 - Introduction to Leadership Education Training (LET). Instruction focuses on introducing Citizenship and Basic Leadership; Communications; First Aid; Map Reading; ROTC and the Department of the Army; Physical Fitness; and Marksmanship/Weapons Safety.
LET 2 - Basic Leadership Education and Training (LET). At this level, students receive instruction on Basic Leadership Development and Drill; Health and Fitness; US Constitution; Techniques of Oral Communications; US Military History; Methods of Instruction; Department of Defense; and Career Opportunities.
LET 3 - Intermediate Leadership Education Training (LET). During the Third/Fourth year of JROTC, students progress to courses in Intermediate Leadership; Leadership and Drill; Practical Exercises in Staff and Leadership Functions; Intermediate Map Reading; Marksmanship and Safety; Learning Service Opportunities; Technology Awareness; Role of the Army; and Methods of Instruction.
LET 4 - Advanced Leadership Education and training (LET). Through out these levels of JROTC, students are assigned to upper level cadet command and staff positions. Assignments are performance-oriented and require a considerable amount of time, ability, and commitment beyond previous LET levels. In order to be successful at these advanced levels, students must consistently, exhibit reliability, self-discipline, Competence and perseverance. Students will be challenged with complex goals and tasks that demand strong leadership, organizational and planning skills.
