Orchestra

Orchestra is designed for the stringed-instrument student who wants to perform in an orchestral music organization. The group plays a variety of string orchestra music and performs at school concerts and festivals. Students who perform at a more advanced level will be able to participate in the chamber string ensemble, which will have music literature beyond that of the full orchestra literature.

Enrollment in the Del Norte High School Instrumental Music Program is a year-long Commitment and attendance at all rehearsals and performances is mandatory. Any potential conflicts will be avoided with planning and organization. Please clearly communicate your DNHS Music Program obligations at the start of the school year to any and all groups in which you will participate.

CONCERT ATTIRE - LADIES

    • Option 1: All Black Dress

      • Sleeves: ¾ length (below elbow) to full length

      • Dress: ¾ length (mid-shin) to full length

      • Black nylons

    • Option 2: All Black Blouse and Pants

      • Sleeves: ¾ length (below elbow) to full length

      • Pants: full length only

      • Black nylons or plain black socks (long, not ankle length)

    • Option 3: All Black Blouse and Skirt

      • Sleeves: ¾ length (below elbow) to full length

      • Skirt: ¾ length (mid-shin) to full length

      • Black nylons

    • All Ladies:

      • Black dress shoes

      • Jewelry is permitted, but should be small, not flashy

CONCERT ATTIRE - GENTLEMEN

    • Option 1: Black Tuxedo

      • Black tuxedo (jacket and pants)

      • White dress shirt or tuxedo shirt

    • Option 2: Black Suit

      • Plain black suit (jacket and pants)

      • White dress shirt

    • All Gentlemen:

      • Black bow tie

      • Black socks (plain and long)

      • Black dress shoes
