Teaching Race and Social Justice in U.S. History (RSJ) in the Classroom
The image above is too common in our society. Frankly, I wonder how many other examples there are that have gone beneath my limited "radar".
Many people have asked me for advice in beginning a course in Race and Social Justice in U.S. History. I do see this as a professional obligation. I've developed (and keep developing) materials that have been helpful to my own class and might be of assistance to colleagues creating and developing their own RSJ (or similar) classes. See below for the two options (for now) for a professional development visit.
(1) Day Professional Development ($1500). 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Course Outline and Purpose
Access to Resources: Website, RSJ Reader, RSJ Project
(2) Day Professional Development ($2500). Both days 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Course Outline and Purpose
Access and Discussion (RSJ Project) of Resources: RSJ Reader, RSJ Project
Anyone who attends a workshop will receive access to the full website.
