This area is under construction-
iPads are not supported by the district, they are a site preference.
Any assistance needed, contact Julie Cuetara, ITS.
iPads are not to be taken home.
The iPads are being tracked, if misplaced or lost report it directly!
Julie Cuetara can track them from any location.
IPads are meant as single user devices.
Therefore our google drives will not play nice with these devices.
IPads will hold username and passwords.
Intro (starting 2016-17)
Korematsu- 6 iPads are being given to classrooms, RSP and Reading Room
Willett- 8 iPads are in the first grade classes and some in other classrooms.
IPads are to be kept in a secure locations when not in use or teachers are not in the classroom.
The teacher is responsible for the iPads
It is the teacher's responsibility to keep up on the rules of the iPads
If damaged or lost, teachers are required to report it directly to IT (Julie Cuetara) and have repairs made thru the IT. Payment for damages or loss will come from parents if their child caused the damage/loss or the teacher's classroom budget. There is no money for repairs or replacement. This includes: iPad, cover, screen protector, wall charger, cord and headphones.
During the year, IPads will be pulled for general maintenance and repair. There’s no schedules- IT will give at least a weeks' notice.
When you get the IPads charge them. Some maybe almost out of charge. Remember to charge. If they lose their charge the IT will have to come in and put the security code in for apps to work,

Care and Cleaning
Follow these steps to clean your iPhone and iPad screen:
Turn off the iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and slide to switch off.
Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the screen. Remove any oil left by your hand touching the screen.
Turn the iPad back on.
Update Dates
I will pull iPads (if needed) a few times a year for updates.
Adding Apps (only free currently)
We are going to grow with these iPads and I've put in place a program to do just that, but for the school year of 2016-17 we are going to explore free apps and learn about the iPads and the way we want to use them.
There is no funding for apps. This is an area we’ll have to explore. For apps, each iPad requires a license and the program I've put in place (and am learning) will allow me to manage licenses and push apps to iPads remotely. This is a process I will be learning and working on this year (16-17). IPads are not supported by the district and I am on my own.
Main Rules and Recommendations
Rules:
Keep the iPads locked up at night.
If you do not have a locked cabinet put in a work-order with M&O for one.

Do not prop the iPads up on things.
Recommendations & Other Notes:
Wi-Fi is on DJUSD Guest.
