(PHASE-1) ON-GRID or GRID-TIE Application

Phase-1 - Application, once the system is installed and connected to the national

grid or in any electricity provider, can generate and produce electricity under the

following condition that the 12 hours daily solar radiation activity will provide the DC

current from the sun and convert to AC current as a household utility AC electric supply of

power for your home and business alike.

The system is safe and secured operationally wise because the more electricity usage is

larger than the solar system generates the power grid will provide the difference. However

when your solar system generates more electric power than what you are intending to use,

the excess electricity will redirected to the national grid for other to use. This is what we

called Grid Selling. In other term you are earning your credit towards your grid usage

based on the existing renewable energy policy by the national grid administrator. With

the installation of special type GRID-TIE inverter it converts direct current (DC) electricity

from the solar panels into alternating current (AC) and feeds it into an existing electricity

grid (MERALCO GRID). It regulates the amount of voltage and current that is received

from the direct current solar panels or any renewable energy DC sources. At a time of

overproduction from the solar or wind energy generating system, power is diverted into

the power grid, thereby being sold to the local utility provider. Operationally wise

because, during the insufficient power production from the renewable energy (Wind and

Solar) generating system, it allow for the utility grid (MERALCO) to take over and provide

the require electric power. Means no power failure in the system.

Savings on power consumptions literally happens as with the surplus of renewable energy

power to sell the power back to the grid. This sometimes called “Meter Backward Spins”

and that is what exactly happening. It is when at night that the Sun is set, residences and

businesses will be supplied by electric power provided by the national grid (MERALCO).

The rated electricity that will be first to consumed are those of what you send to the grid

in the morning. This means that users have NO billing consumption

to be charge as it used it own generated renewable energy resources.
