Here I'm riding a horse on the beach of Playa Tamarindo on the northwestern peninsula of Costa Rica.
This is a picture of the active volcano Volcán Poás in Costa Rica. It's one of two that we visited on a summer exchange.
One of many waterfalls in the rain forests of Costa Rica. Our bus broke down so we had a extra few minutes for pictures. I since learned that the old wooden bridge was replaced with a new metal one because it fell apart.
Here I'm riding in a small boat off the northern Atlantic coast of Honduras with my exchange sister's family. We were staying in the coastal town of Tela.
Here we are driving through the arid pine tree covered mountains of central Honduras on our way home from Tela- on the northern Atlantic coast- to Tegucigalpa- the capital.
One of the mountain passes that we went through on the bus going from the coast of Guayaquil, Ecuador to the city of Cuenca in the Andes Mountains. The bus was sitting at about 12,000 ft elevation on the road.
One of the four rivers that flow through the city of Cuenca, Ecuador in the Andes at about 9,000 ft. elevation.
The Incan ruins of Inga Pirca at 11,000 ft. elevation in the Andes Mountains outside of Cuenca, Ecuador.
Here I am at the monument of La Mitad del Mundo where the equator crosses Ecuador just north of the captial, Quito. I am standing with one foot in each hemisphere.
Some Cholas (Incan woman) we met while visiting a market in Baños, Ecuador.
We didn´t get to go to the Galapagos Islands, but we saw a Galapagos tortoise that was brought over from the islands 70 years earlier. It wasn't illegal to do so yet and the tortoise has been living at the school on the coast ever since. His name is Miguelito.
Sra. Basto and her son Carlos fishing in La Laguna de Terminos off the Gulf of Mexico in Isla Aguada, Campeche, Mexico.
The beach between Ensenada and Rosarito in Baja California. We went to eat lobster.
This is Senator´s Wash off the Colorado River on the California/Arizona state line. We love to go here in the summer to swim, bar-b-que and ride wave runners.
