LQHS Off Season Baseball
Off-Season 2024/25
Off-Season squad try-outs are scheduled for September, with exact dates coming soon. Training for all Off-Season teams will run from September to January. Before you can try out, you’ll need to complete the online Athletic Clearance packet and make sure the school has your up-to-date physical on file. Just head to the school website, click “Athletics,” then “Athletic Clearance,” and follow the steps. This must be completed for you to be cleared to participate, even if you don’t end up making a team.
Once the two-day try-out is finished, three rosters will be posted: Varsity, JV, and Frosh. JV and Frosh will include the strongest players who aren’t placed on Varsity. All three groups will train through January. If you accept a spot on any Off-Season roster, you’ll be expected to follow these requirements:
1. $300 Registration (Includes Spirit Pack, described below, worn at all games/practices)
Sprit pack payment is due by Oct. 4 unless selling banner see below
- 1 LQHS Baseball hat
- 2 LQHS Baseball t-shirts
- Tournament Fees (3 Tournaments for Varsity Team)
When a player is offered & accepts a spot on the squad, and that player sells one $500 banner then that will cover the cost of their fall spirit pack. Banner Sales information can be found under the Document tab(s) on the left side of the web page, under Banner Sales. Banner sales are due
by Oct. 15th.
2. Attend all Practices
- Varsity will practice Mondays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays, 4:30 - 6:30 pm.
- JV and Frosh squad will practice right after school on Mondays & Thursdays
3. Attend all Games
- Check the Off-Season Game Schedule link that is found under the Document/Schedule tab on the left side of the web page
- JV and Frosh squads will play a minimum of one game a week in the evening, 5 pm or 7 pm
4. Participate in any fundraising activities that the baseball program may be doing
5. Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA
- An F will keep you off the field until progress report shows otherwise
6. Equipment needed:
- Spirit Pack
- Grey and white baseball pants,
- Spikes, Glove, & BBCOR (-3) Certified Bat
