On Friday, October 14, 2016, Desert Sands Unified School District launched a new electronic flyer communication tool called Peachjar. In the past, information on community events and school activities has been sent to parents via paper flyers in children's backpacks or given to students to bring home.
PARENTS AND GUARDIANS: This new "green" initiative of eliminating flyers will reduce the use of paper. It is food for the schools and good for the planet. In addition, posting flyers electronically will remove a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers.
NO ACTION IS REQUIRED ON YOUR PART! You will receive a welcome email from Peachjar that includes a username and password. You do not need to login to receive or view the flyers. The username and password are just a means for you to manage your preferences, if you would like to do so.
We suggest that you add school@peachjar.com to your email contacts. When you receive your first electronic flyer, be sure to click "always display images". This system is used exclusively for distribution of school-approved flyers. Your email address will NOT be shared or used for any other purpose. Peachjar requires a current guardian email address on file. You can update your email address directly in Home Access Center. Go to www.dsusd.us/HAC and click ‘HAC Overview’ for instructions on updating your email address.
