About Mrs. Amidei:

I grew up in Alaska! In fact, I graduated from North Pole High School!

I'm married to a great guy named Kevin. He owns his own business called New Wave Home Audio and Video. That means we have ROCKIN' sound at our house. We have four children: Eric, Hannah, Kori, and Ashley. I enjoy every minute I can spend with my family--I love to see all their talents and contributions to this world. Ashley works at Starbucks, coaches volleyball at Rancho Mirage High School, and attends both COD and ASU. Kori also works at Starbucks, and at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive while studying history at BERKELEY. Hannah is a COD grad, also works at Starbucks, and will be attending ASU. Eric is a vital project manager and programmer at New Wave and is getting married in October.

I LOVE teaching! I was hired by Desert Sands in 1999. Since then I've taught just about everything. This year I am teaching Student Leadership.

I'm passionate about students getting a great education--because I know it matters.

I stay involved in anything that will make me a better educator and advocate for students, teachers, and public education.
