Academic and Career Plan (ACP) Preparation
Eighth graders will receive information in Family/Consumer Education classes about transition and will begin developing an ACP. The ACP is a student-directed planning and monitoring tool that customizes learning experiences. It will map academic plans and reflect each student’s unique set of interests, needs, learning goals and plan for meeting high school graduation requirements. You can learn more about ACPs at this link: http://dpi.wi.gov/acp

We are offering several ways for a student to lead his or her ACP presentation.
There are three options:
Students may present their online ACP via computer to a parent/guardian at his or her home at a time that is convenient to their schedule, OR
A student or parent may request an individual meeting with his/her school counselor and present his/her ACP during the school day, OR
Students will be placed in small groups with other students who have similar career plans and will present their plans to each other and a school counselor.
Please discuss with your child which method you works best for you. If you are interested in an in-person presentation with your child’s school counselor, please email them to schedule a time and day (see contact information below).
Students who do not have a completed google survey turned in by a parent/guardian by the assigned due date will automatically be assigned to option three.
