Create a Web Presence that portrays you as a credible student and artist. Best option is your student Google sites.
IDEAS:
1- Inspiration Sites to Get You Started.......Awesome.
3- Artist Websites. Note the layout and self-promotional information included. Lots of images!!
4- Teacher Example. When in doubt, keep it simple, clean, and professional.
PROCEDURE:
1- You may build your site in your student Google account or Wix.com or Webs.com.
2- Include:
•Home Page: Choose a layout, then insert links to the following pages on your site.
•Finished Projects Gallery: The best of your final photography and design projects. Use the Presentation program in Google or simply import directly to a designated gallery page on your site (Look to the top left of your webpage.....Insert>Image.)
•Body of Evidence: The best of your 'Body of Evidence' produced thus far in the semester. Pictures of your hand-written notes, electronic notes, homework, and idea development of projects should be included.
•Personal goals/Profile/Interests: Share short term and long term goals that give you motivation to succeed as a student and/or artist. Share interests, hobbies, and community service experiences.....anything promoting your character.
You do not, of course, have to pursue an art career, but your artwork should play a major role in this site. Show and type how your personal attributes will carry you towards future success in any professional field.
•Your artwork can present you as a creative problem solver, critical thinker, self starter, and independent worker...all important attributes to carry into adulthood.
3- The website that you create will play a major role in your semester grade moving forward through the semester.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Four pages to your site:
1- Your home page.
2- Personal Goals/Profile/Interests. Include short and long term goals that you have as a student and adult in the workforce.
3- Gallery page. This should include a minimum of 5 of your strongest artworks from the semester.
4- Evidence of Progress page. Your best one or two Body of Evidence documents that prove you are curious and capable of research in an academic setting.
