Some field trip locations may require additional waivers. STEM BASE will ride a district school bus or a charter bus for off-site trips. Some on-site activities will also require a waiver. There will be no on-site provisions, and all children in attendance will be expected to come on the field trip.

Where: STEM Cafeteria ( check full day calendar for alternate details)
Who: Children registered with STEM B.A.S.E. Program ages 5-12 ( K-5th grade)
Full-Day Programs are offered on specific days when children do not have school. We incorporate a balance of social interaction, engaging crafts, off-site field trips and physical education to make the program exciting and meaningful for your child.
On-site activities include crafts, gym games, recess, science/cooking projects, and technology time.
During off-site activities, we explore the endless fun that Colorado has to offer with field trips to exciting destinations. Field trip destinations or guest speakers will be indicated through SchoolCare Works, the STEM B.A.S.E. website and our break flyers.
Please note STEM BASE is a first come, first serve and pre-pay program. We cannot guarantee a 100% availability each week. We offer a waitlist to fill last-minute cancellations or schedule changes. Email amy.dupays@dcsdk12.org or text the BASE cell phone (720-699-2928) to be waitlisted for a session. When a spot becomes available a staff member will contact you ( may be same day).
Progeram ratio is 1 staff to 15 student ratio mandated by the state of Colorado. STEM BASE will cap Summer Full day sessions between 15-45 students depending on available staffing and based on the daily activity. Some venues require a 1:10 ratio, like swimming.
