Back to School Night Presentation
Homework
We will be doing homework throughout the year.
Thursday Folders
Your child will be bringing home a Thursday (communication folder) on Thursday. with their work to keep at home. One of the sides of the folder is a "return to school", where they can place their math homework in, to turn in on Fridays.
Snack
*For the safety of our students, my classroom is 100% nut free. Please do not send anything with nut products to school for snack. Kids are allowed to have nut products in the cafeteria as long as they do not sit at the nut-free table. Thank you! Please send in a healthy, dry, disposable snack. We will have our snack at our morning recess.
Dismissal
Please know that I will be sending your child home everyday according to what you shared with me. There will be no exceptions unless I receive a signed note in the morning or you call the office to make us aware of other arrangements. I often cannot check my email until after 4:00 pm so emailing me about a change does not work. Please try to avoid picking your child up early if at all possible. If necessary, you can check your child out at the front office, they will call me and I will send your child to meet you there.
Positive Behavior System
At Mountain View, the students can earn 'MV3 Slips' this year for demonstrating respect, responsibility and safety throughout the building. They can earn these as a whole class or as individuals. The class can earn these for being MV3 (Respect, Responsibility, Safety) from other adults in the building. The individual slips will have a place for their name and a brief description of what they did to earn them. When they earn as individuals, one copy of the slip will be turned into the office and possibly read on announcements. The other copy will be sent home for celebration at home! When our class reaches 100 Paw Slips (a combined total of individual and whole-class) we will celebrate with a Paw Party! The class will decide on these parties and I will email you to let you know.
Birthdays
Students are not allowed to hand out invitations at school unless the invitations are for all boys, all girls or everyone in the room.
Please sign up with the PTO directory so your child can be included in birthday parties.
I am unable to give out personal information for parties, so please make sure to sign up with the PTO Directory so your child does not get left out!
You are welcome to send in SIMPLE (PLEASE NOTHING TOO MESSY), treats or goodies.
