Taking Flight

Incoming Student Transition Program 

Taking flight is a fun and interactive transition program for incoming 7th graders and new to Sierra 8th graders.  The purpose of this program is to help students have a successful transition to middle school by familiarizing them with Sierra essentials!  Sessions are led by 7th and 8th grade teachers.  In this program students will:

• Meet Sierra teachers and staff before school starts

• Meet new people and make friends

• Learn how to set goals

• Learn how to log in to and use Google accounts

• Take multiple building tours and play games eliminating the fear of getting lost

• Get their schedules and find their classes!
