What is the schedule for the Spring Musical cast and crew?

The Get Involved slides will be available in November or December 2023
Auditions and Crew Applications deadlines will be the week of December 18 (the last week of the semester)
First rehearsals/meetings will happen after Winter Break
Performances are April 25-27
NOTE: Friday, April 26, is a "no-school" date for students (a PD Day for staff).
This was the only weekend of April that worked:
The Sagewood Auction is the first weekend of April
Ponderosa's Spring Musical is the second weekend of April (as well as the start of CMAS)
International Towne (for 6th), CMAS, and the Comp Day is the third weekend of April
The week following the Spring Musical is May, and the Spring Dance is that Friday.
Please plan accordingly - check your life schedule if you plan to get involved with the Spring Musical
Do students need to tell Ms. K if I have to miss/leave early/come late to Play/Musical crew rehearsal/meeting?
YES! The CORRECT way to let Ms. K know if students need to miss, arrive late, or leave early from Play/Musical rehearsal/crew meeting is to ***complete the Conflict Form***
PLEASE. Do not email Ms. K - even in case of an emergency.
Why can't students email Ms. K about Play/Musical conflicts?
The student leaders of the Play/Musical complete attendance using the responses to the Conflict Form and do NOT have access to Ms. K's email - please use the Conflict Form to communicate any and all conflicts, even emergencies!
How do I find the Conflict Form?
The Conflict Form is included in the Weekly Newsletter, is posted in the Google Classroom, and has a unique show-specific Bitly link that you can use to access the Form.
Can students do the Fall Play/Spring Musical and play a Sport?
Yes! In the "Get Involved" Slides for both productions (available in weekly email updates to parents and Google Classroom), there is a slide covering the specific expectations from Ms. K about how to successfully be involved in both a sport and the production. In general:
For sports practices, you are expected to leave practice at 4:00 to come to rehearsal/crew meeting (giving you an hour and 15 minutes at sports practice and an hour at rehearsal/crew meeting
For game days, you are excued from rehearsal/crew meetings, unless you can and want to come to rehearsal/crew meeting for a little bit depending on home v away and the time of your game (you must still complete the Conflict Form)
No matter what, it is expected that you communicate by including that you will be involved with a sport when you audition/apply AND complete the Conflict Form for any time you will miss any part of a rehearsal/crew meeting so the adult+student leaders can plan accordingly throughout the process
